Message from the Chairman and CEO
Dear Stakeholders,
As FY 2025-26 draws to a close - a defining year in many ways - I find myself in a familiar and treasured place: writing to you with satisfaction for the year behind us, gratitude for the trust placed in us, and genuine excitement about what lies ahead.
Through nearly three decades of change in life sciences, our purpose has remained unchanged - combining deep healthcare expertise and intelligent technology to create meaningful impact for the industry we serve, and for the patients that industry ultimately exists for.
Looking back across our journey, I take quiet pride in a pattern that has repeated itself at every consequential inflection point our industry has encountered. When the industry has transformed, Indegene has led. Not from the sidelines of an advisory engagement, but from inside the workflow - designing, running and continuously improving the operating models that made each shift real for our clients.
Today, the life sciences industry stands at another pivotal moment. AI is no longer being judged by its promise, but by the outcomes it delivers - the speed of a regulatory submission, the success of a product launch, the reach of a scientific message, the timely delivery of a therapy to a patient in need. The real transformation is not the technology itself, but the reshaping of the scientific, medical, regulatory and commercial work of our industry around it.
I truly believe the companies that will define the next decade will be those that combine deep healthcare expertise with intelligent technology embedded into critical workflows. We are uniquely positioned to help our clients navigate - and capture - this opportunity. I remain optimistic and energized by what lies ahead. The trust of our clients, our investors, our partners and our extraordinary team carries a profound responsibility - one that continues to fuel our ambition, our purpose, and our commitment to lead.
A Defining Shift
Healthcare is entering one of the most significant periods in its history. Advances across biology, data science and computational science are accelerating scientific progress, while new therapeutic modalities - from cell and gene therapies to precision medicine - are expanding what medicine can achieve. As innovation accelerates, the industry’s challenge is increasingly shifting toward translating scientific breakthroughs into patient impact faster, at greater scale and with greater consistency.
Every major transformation in life sciences has reshaped how the industry operates. This moment is no different. Digital expanded engagement. Compliance rebuilt itself for scale. Content supply chains were reimagined for speed. Each shift changed how work was done - and where value was created.
The next era will be defined not simply by the adoption of AI, but by the redesign of operating models around AI. Competitive advantage in life sciences will increasingly come from improving the quality and speed of decision-making, translating scientific innovation into real patient impact. Technology by itself is not a competitive advantage. How it is applied matters more. Lasting value will come from combining technology with deep domain expertise, operational excellence and disciplined execution at scale.
Healthcare has always been, and will remain, a deeply human endeavor. As AI amplifies expertise, human judgment, scientific rigor and accountability will remain indispensable to achieving the patient outcomes that matter most. In every operating model we build, we design that human centrality in from the start.
When the Industry Transforms, We Have Led
Our confidence about what lies ahead is grounded in a pattern of proven execution across three prior transformations.
When HCPs began closing their doors to traditional field engagement, we operationalized digital engagement inside our clients’ commercial workflows - helping organizations adopt new customer engagement models at scale, compliantly and consistently. When compliance complexity threatened to become the industry’s biggest bottleneck, we industrialized medico-legal review and regulatory operations - bringing rigor, scale and velocity to workflows that had been manual and fragmented. When content demand surged three-fold with almost no matching increase in budget, we rebuilt the content supply chain end-to-end - replacing the fragmented agency model with platform-driven operations that create content once and activate everywhere, confidently and compliantly.
None of these were isolated moments. They were a blueprint. In each, Indegene did not merely navigate the shift. We built the infrastructure that made the shift possible for our clients. That is the same posture we bring to AI.
Built for This Moment
For nearly three decades, Indegene has remained focused on one industry, building deep expertise across the commercial, medical, regulatory and clinical functions that underpin the life sciences value chain. That single-industry focus is not a limitation of ambition; it is the source of our differentiation.
The greatest value from AI is emerging where decisions demand scientific context, regulatory judgment, medical evidence and commercial insight. These capabilities cannot simply be layered onto a generic technology platform. They are built through years of operating regulated workflows, solving complex business problems and continuously refining execution. As our clients rethink how work gets done - brand by brand, market by market, function by function - this depth of expertise has become one of our strongest differentiators. Our proprietary, life sciences-native operating system, our Cortex intelligence layer, and the fabric of AI-powered agents we have built on top are what make our AI work where generic models do not.
From Promise to Performance
FY 2025-26 reflected the strength of that foundation. We crossed ₹3,500 crore in annual revenue and, for the first time in our history, ₹1,000 crore in quarterly revenue. We completed our largest acquisition, deepened our local expertise and presence in key European markets, and continued investing in the consulting, technology and global delivery capabilities that will shape our next phase of growth. Equally important is the quality of that growth: as we embed AI ever more deeply into how we work, our revenue has continued to grow several times faster than our headcount - a clear signal of the operating leverage now building in our model.
The stronger signal, however, is the trust our clients continue to place in us. Net revenue retention has consistently remained above 100% for the last five years, reflecting our ability to grow by expanding strategic relationships while adding new ones in parallel. Increasingly, we are partnering on enterprise-wide transformation programs spanning functions, brands and markets, embedding intelligent technologies into regulated commercial, medical, regulatory and clinical workflows. Across many of these workflows, activities that once took weeks can now be completed in hours - accelerating submissions, modernizing medical operations, strengthening commercial execution and improving stakeholder engagement. We measure our success the same way our clients do: by shortening timelines, strengthening compliance, accelerating launches - and ultimately helping innovative therapies reach patients faster.
We crossed ₹ 3,500 crore in annual revenue and, for the first time in our history, ₹ 1,000 crore in quarterly revenue. We completed our largest acquisition, deepened our local expertise and presence in key European markets, and continued investing in the consulting, technology and global delivery capabilities that will shape our next phase of growth.
Behind this performance is a portfolio of next-generation operating models we are already running with the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies - from regulatory pathways compressed from months to weeks, to medico-legal review re-engineered for sub-24-hour turnaround, to agentic content operations that collapse creative development cycles from months to days, to omnichannel engagement that learns and adapts to each healthcare professional in real time. These are not experiments at the edges of our business. They are the operating models that will define the next generation of life sciences enterprises. And they are already at work.
Leading a New Category
Our work with the world’s top 20 biopharma companies - and 80 of the top 100 - has revealed an important trend. Clients are no longer looking only for technology implementation or functional support. They are looking for partners who can redesign how work gets done, integrate intelligent technologies into execution, operate those workflows globally, and continuously improve them over time.
This is giving rise to a new category of partner for the life sciences industry. By bringing together consulting, purpose-built technology platforms, deep life sciences expertise and global execution, Indegene is well positioned to define it - as the strategic operating partner that helps clients translate transformation into sustained business performance.
Our People - The Real Engine
None of this would be possible without our people. Our workforce of over 5,500 across 11 countries and 19 offices brings a rare combination of scientific depth, technology capability and operational excellence - with more than a quarter of our people bringing deep healthcare expertise that anchors scientific and regulatory rigor across everything we do. As AI reshapes what is possible, we are investing in helping our people shape the future - building differentiated careers at the intersection of domain depth, AI fluency and outcome ownership, and ensuring that being AI-native is not just a capability we bring to our clients but a discipline embedded in how every Indegeon works and grows.
We continue to be recognized as a Great Place to Work, and I am especially proud of the inclusive culture we have nurtured - including the strong participation of women, who represent 47% of our global workforce, and the leadership pathways we are actively building for them. The strongest measure of our culture is the experience of our people. And what they have built together is the true engine behind every outcome we deliver.
Our Responsibility to the Ecosystem
As a company operating at the global frontier of life sciences, we believe our social responsibility must match our unique core competencies. Our CSR strategy is anchored in a long-term commitment to strengthen India’s deep science ecosystem - accelerating translation from lab to market, cultivating interdisciplinary academic and research excellence, and building the enabling policy environment that will help India transition from being a consumer of innovation to a creator of foundational intellectual property. Alongside, we remain committed to inclusive community wellbeing - through partnerships that advance elite sport, palliative care, foundational education and school nutrition. We take the long view: this is systemic ecosystem engineering, not fragmented philanthropy.
The Next Chapter
The next chapter of life sciences will be shaped by extraordinary scientific progress. But scientific breakthroughs alone do not change lives. Their impact depends on how effectively they are translated into therapies, how efficiently they are commercialized, and how quickly they reach the patients who need them. That is where we have chosen to stand - at the intersection of scientific ambition and enterprise execution - and it is where we will continue to build.
Our aspiration for Indegene is straightforward, and it is a long one. We want to be a company that becomes who the future needs - again and again. Built through strategy and hustle, not hype. Grown without shortcuts. Scaled without losing our soul. A company that chooses evolution over ego, and adaptability over doctrine. That is the ambition we carry into the years ahead.
Our strategy is clear. Our priorities are defined. The way ahead is to execute with focus, strengthen the trust we have built over decades, and continue delivering meaningful value for every stakeholder we serve.
I wish to thank our clients for their partnership, and our shareholders for their continued confidence. Their unwavering trust and support mean a great deal to us. I thank our board, whose wisdom and challenge continue to sharpen every important decision we take. And from my heart, I thank our immensely talented team - whose expertise, curiosity and commitment will shape the new chapter of Indegene that is just about to unfold.
Sincerely,
Manish Gupta
